I was like that 19 year old girl who got her own scooty J when I was planning my trip to London. I had few complimentary months before going to London for my studies; I felt it was time for a leap into the unknown, with a suitcase, some money and a one-way ticket to London. The plan was to study, work, have fun and refresh my education (MBA); pretty scary stuff eh! One month was my limit for becoming economically independent and of course doing a smooth job with a fine pay...thats what i thought at least...:)!!. As I’ve heard ‘you must go into the country to hear what news at London’...'London--->The city of Dreams??^_^'

My 1st experience wasn’t a good one though...i was home sick..Stayed home for 3 whole months doing nothing....no friends...blaahh..!!! I wish I hadn’t come but I learned to live and now I‘ve started to like it...!! Though I have lot more places to explore..!!

Let me give u guys a brief guide about surviving in London....Sharmi’s way!!:D

The job I found was, of course, as a waitress in a Portuguese restaurant. There is plenty of work, despite the recession, but employers are reluctant to accept adventurers because they know that in a few months they will probably have to replace their personnel. Often if you work in the evening, that’s it for going out for the night. When you finish at midnight after a day on your feet, all you want to do is to go home n sleep. It’s an extremely exhausting work and, in my opinion, not very satisfying. You often work six shifts per week, with at least one of those at the weekend. Basically, it’s no holiday, and when you decide to do it, you need to be very motivated or you will end up going home after three weeks with your tail between your legs. No kidding!!

To work legally in England, you need to ask for a national insurance number. You call a free phone number to make an appointment for an interview at your local Jobcenterplus. You can ask for a NI even if you don’t have a job yet, but will have to go back to the job centre to get it and your NI arrives in the post.

London is expensive. A pint of beer costs an average of £3.40 and a packet of pasta costs less than a pound, so if you are a bit careful, you can live on £880 a month without having to make too many sacrifices.

The only thing that is exorbitant is transport. Even with the famous Oyster card, which is absolutely indispensable. However, even with this, there is a way to get out of paying so much. Not everyone knows that there exists a pass just for the bus which costs a ‘mere’ £16 or so per week and allows you unlimited access to London buses.Rent in London is quite expensive but not excessive. The rooms in London are quite small. Stay hopeful, pray to the goddess of luck and make sure you have an initial budget of at least £800 because, quite regularly, a deposit and a month’s rent in advance are required to guarantee a room.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />

Apart from the necessary costs of food and rent, the real problem is that the English capital offers absolutely everything! There is something for all tastes and it’s too easy to spend an evening with friends, a Saturday shopping and a small trip and find you have blown your budget. However, with everything it offers, London is a truly stimulating city and managing to make your way on your own in this great metropolis is very satisfying… for the information of all the people who are sceptical before you leave!

SALUTE TO WOMANHOOD!

SALUTE TO WOMANHOOD!

Remember, when u marry a working women you should marry with these facts as well.

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are; There are certain things we've said we would never do and things we have sworn we'd never change. Yet, somehow, when around a group of people who think differently than we do, we begin to question ourselves. We begin to teeter back and forth from what we think to what they think. The ground in which we stand on becomes somewhat shaky as peer pressure begins to rumble.

It is so easy to stand firm when there is no one around to question your stance. Sticking to your guns becomes hard when you are confronted and asked to explain why you think the way you think. It is much more comfortable to become a chameleon and change who you are to suit your surroundings. Having to endure the comments of how different you are can be rather painful, but trying to fool those around you into thinking you are more like them never works. You only end up fooling yourself.

Staying true to yourself may be uncomfortable at times, but the reward is always worth it. The guilt that comes from knowing you tried to hide who you really are can become unbearable when you are finally alone again and have time to reflect on your actions. The feelings of worthlessness that can creep in will only tear you down even more. The emotions that come from realizing that you felt they were better than you so you had to be more like them has a way of crushing your confidence into tiny grains of pity.

Leave the chameleon costume in the closet and embrace yourself for who you really are. Wear it with admiration. Yes, you are different and that is what makes you fabulous. You are unique. You are special. Above all else, you are you. Never cover that up, yet let it shine like the sun. Let others see what you have to offer and who knows, you may see a few chameleons popping up to resemble you.

How To Become INVISIBLE??

Ofcourse, no one would like to miss the oppurtunity to become invisible. Neither would I, never! Being invisible is like a whole world in your hands. You could do anything you want: free travel, free show at the cinema and many other things as well! Isn’t it so cool huh? when you are invisible, you can seek vengeance(revenge), a heroic revenge from your enemy comfortably, and anything at all man! So now, to keep the suspence growing, I shall reveal to you at the end of this post some information on how to become invisible! People will spontaneously assume me to be one of those idiocy favouring people who blindly claim that they can ignite invisibility. But I shall pity them for their idealogy, as I, a scientifically oriented homo sapien am in control of options necessary to become invisible…

Unfortunately, I can only handover my power to honest people and that is quite a big task for me take care of. Identifying honest people so as to give them my power :))..Anyways, if I am sounding insane, forgive me. Lets get back to the “invisibility” discussion.

Invisible object exist k huncha bhanne...when the incident light rays tend to reflect things BEHIND you to the viewer. That is simple. Just bend the vision rays so much so that they do not meet you, but instead meet somethings behind you. So that results in you NOT being seen. Quite exciting isn’t it? Its a common fact this one, gained popularity when a certain set of photographs was launched claiming to have indeed probed a way to possess invisibility. So you just require some cheap technology to bend the rays and do the same. Do not worry, if not them I will reach to your rescue, go on reading the post and I shall finally expose the dark secret.

Scientists have been breaking their heads together to come up with something that could well provide invisibility efficiently. The fact is, they haven’t come across this young gal who’s got a blog about various things..hehe...,easily putting out the secret of invisibility. I think I have to make some references to Harry Potter’s cloak out there, coming to his rescue in important times (J.K.Rowling’s a genius). That’s exactly what I am here to investigate upon. A Cloak…special one which is mirrorised in its exteriors and the translucent mirrors are so angled to get the light rays behind you than to get the same fromYOU. So, you know that results in nothing but…invisibility. his is not yet something which I wanted to convey to you. The ultimate secret is in the next para. It might seem obvious to you, or go to the extent of disgusting you completely! Or that might appropriately be termed as “irritation”.

At the top there is a menu option. Below that is your yahoo! id or maybe MSN id. Next to it is your status. You just have to click on it, and put it to invisible! There! You are done. You are invisible now, do what you want :P...//Silly? Indeed. The very thought of invisibility is silly, according to what I think.

Guys, just grow up. Support reality. Dreams are ofcourse tempting, and very much in favor of intense gratification. But the ultimate thing which rules is nothing but reality. So there, face reality: Invisibility is currently IMPOSSIBLE. Think about it when it is possible and then make appropriate plans and schemes. Sorry, I am’t rude, I am just telling you all to focus little on fascination and more on Science. Quite a good piece of encouragement I would like to display: So next time you think about invisibility, think about how to make it possible, and not what you would want to do after you possess it, coz you know ultimately the fact is that you cannot possess it for sure, then why think about it even?

Motivational Poster

Remember those motivational posters found all over offices and fast food joints. You know, how you can recognize that you're taking tests (and failing them) when the same annoying things keep happening over and over and over?

Well. Lately my tests have been of the Realizing Things Don't Always Go As Planned variety. Tons of times these past few months I have planned that things will go a certain way (uh, like, my way) and yet they (surprise, surprise) go a whole other way
So here's what I'm learning: Expect that things will probably not go the way I planned. Expect that I will make mistakes and will forget things--and other people will, too.

Now, I'm not saying I go around expecting bad things to happen. No way! You all know I'm too Pollyanna-ish for that. I mean, there are different kinds of faith--faith that your life will be good and faith that it will turn out bad.

I choose to believe for the good.

But what I'm also believing in--for my own sanity and so that I'll stop complaining--is that I'll be patient in times when things get tweaked/switched around/screwed-up/shaken-up. And with that expectation, I can relax. I can keep my sense of humor and just roll my eyes and smile. And recall all the times before when my plans weren't nearly as good as the ones God planned for me, instead.

can handle it!!

Sometimes when you feel really frustrated and you think there is no one you can talk to about it, a good way to unwind is to just get it down on paper, get it all out, either by typing or writing or txtin...;).
However the way I see it is.
Just because you can quote Edgar Allen Poe does not make you this great writer .
Now it makes you someone who know the works of a great writer.
Just because you know all about Albert Einstein does not make you the genius that he was.

As I said being educated is a great thing.
However to me it is not quite as great as being truly intelligent .
See with true intelligence you do not have to quote all those great minds.
Because if your truly intelligent you will have you own opinion.

The reason I bring this up is.
I see a lot of people who try to degrade others who may not be as educated as them.
So they will quote some stuff they learned out of books and try to make others feel dumb.
When I see that happen I kind of laugh because here is this person simply memorizing what someone else has said ....and they believe they are more intelligent because of that .
And if you ask me you are not more intelligent you just have a good memory.

Now knowing these things are awesome.
However if you are using these things that you know just so you can make others feel inadequate.
Then you are showing how dumb you really are...i bet..U R

And another thing most truly intelligent people does not have to show off their intelligence.
They don't have to prove to others how smart they are ..because they know it.
So you can quote all the great minds of the past you want .
However being a great mind of today is what is most important ...Like meh!!hehe

What a Weekend!!!

I confess that i had one of the most horrible vacation ever....first pneumonia...then fever......since dashain to diwali....but now m doin gud. thought it wud take me forever to get back to normal condition. anyways all in all....was a bad experience. With a few simple words stretched out to blasting piano underscored intensity, “I keep on fallin, in and out of love with you,” Alicia Keys roared onto radio with an album (“Songs in A Minor”) that would garner her both critical praise and a slew of awards. It also seems to be the only real lyrical idea she will ever write, but that’s not as bad as it sounds.

eagerly anticipated album “As I Am,” and it’s both strikingly different than her past two albums and strikingly similar. Those seeking out more of Keys’ piano driven ballads about heartbreak, newfound love, and euphoric romance will be pleased to know that Keys has delivered fourteen songs with her signature killer hooks that seem radio friendly and original at the same time.

Fortunately, for her slightly repetitive songwriting skills, “No One,” where Keys practically screams her devotion to a man that will never be matched, you realize that even when she’s pushing the limits of her vocal range (which she is doing to beautiful effect in this single) she’s fully in command.

What makes her music accessible is the simple stream of emotions that she writes with. Her choruses often consist of a string of three or four words, repeated with different notes and they send shivers through your body. It doesn’t seem to matter that she employs slews of clichés because the way she performs them is breathtaking and she fully commits. This is most true on “Sure Looks Good To Me” which finds her singing with defiance, “Don’t rain on my parade.” There’s nothing lyrically original in this statement, but through some magic she makes it feel like you are hearing it for the first time.

Even though I would love to see Keys branch out into uncharted territory with her subject matter, there’s no denying that what she does, she does well. Clichéd? At times, yes. Enjoyable? Always

m back......

long time...eh!!
well lotsa stuffs goin on wid me right now.....m finally getting a grip on everything n hey i've lost a few pounds too:)...will try not to segregate myself from my dear blog. These ecosystems can be your greatest strength as an entrepreneur (or as a rogue in WoW) – but they require conformity to a basic set of rules.

Three rules for building and maintaining an ecosystem – real or virtual:
1. Cry more, noob
This was my favorite rule especially as it applies to start-ups. It was translated to me as, "don't start by complaining about game mechanics before you know how the game works. Ask questions and get guidance before you assume the game is broken. Most likely the problem is that you do not know how to play the game. If you are inexperienced, show some humility – be willing to learn."

2. Pay it Forward
"Don't ask until you have helped others. People are more inclined to help you once they know you and see you as part of their ecosystem."

Simple and beautifully said.

3. There are no good secrets

Oh, man, this one was great – and so counter-intuitive. These two were chatting away about all of the game secrets. They shared their learning from within WoW and from the many postings outside of Wow (yes, these two are real game geeks). They were actively tapping in to each other's genius – in order to help themselves and to solve the problem set of the day.

Trip to Dolalghat...awesome

<img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px;
